Within the gates of Thistle, members will enjoy a number of very special amenities that will entertain and provide opportunities for individual enjoyment and social interaction. A private Residents Activity Center will include a pool, fitness facilities and social areas. The Center will also be equipped with a full kitchen and grills for community gatherings and private social events

The Thistle Clubhouse is designed to replicate a 19th Century Scottish club, constructed in phases over a 100-year period. The exterior finish is a combination of stone, brick and mortar. The interior design offers many interesting features, including a grand foyer with a soaring rafter ceiling and a 12-foot wide stone fireplace. Private dining and social areas will be designated for members. An antique bar will provide a beautiful focal point in the pub where members and guests enjoy an extensive selection of fine Scotches, beers and ales. The pub will also feature a double-sided fireplace that extends through to an outside deck.

Trails and paths will allow residents to move about the 406-acre enclave and enjoy the flower-covered hillsides and abundance of wildlife, including deer, bald eagles, ducks, egrets and other waterfowl. Our 27-hole golf course is widely regarded among the best on the Grand Strand, a region that boasts well over 100 championship courses. Scottish influences are evident throughout, with wide, wind-swept fairways and large green complexes. The surrounded hillsides are covered in heather and wild flowers. Thistle has earned 4-1/2 Stars in Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play in America” and a ranking among Golf for Women Magazine’s picks of the “Top 100 in America,” with high marks for design, condition and service.
